Amazon KDP Income Report November 2023
After months of disappointing results, things are finally back on the upswing! And I mean significantly! As the holiday season approaches, sales are picking back up as people are buying gifts for friends and family. Woot woot!
As we are approaching the holiday season, we are getting an uptick in sales. Things were off to a slow start and it picked up later in the month as you’ll see below.
The KDP income for this Q4 is definitely not as good as last year’s Q4. Having said that, I am grateful for this passive income source that generates some money every month even though I did not publish any books this year.
I’m working a full-time job during the day as mentioned in this post. The only time I get to work on my side hustles is in the mornings before work and in the evenings after work and dinner. That will be around 2 hours everyday that I can work on my side business. However, sometimes I’m too dead tired after work and just want to chill and relax.
The revenue I get from this side hustle might not be in the ‘000s like some others. However, a few hundred dollars every month can help pay for gas, groceries, utilities, etc. I’m seeing the fruits of my initial efforts I’ve put in. ๐ I have 1,141 low content books on Amazon KDP at this point.
November 2023 Income Report โ With No Ads
Now on to the income report for November 2023!
Highest day: $62.88
Lowest day: $2.55
86% comes from the US marketplace, which makes up the bulk of my earnings. 8.8% comes from the UK marketplace, 2.5% from Canada, 1.1% from Spain, 1% from Australia, and 0.6% from some other countries.
As you can see from the graph above, sales were slow in the beginning. However, things began to pick back up in the later part of the month as the holiday season is approaching.
There’s a spike in sales on Nov 28 due to bulk orders for 2 of my books. We’ll talk about that in a bit.
My Top-Selling Books
44 books out of the 1,141 total books I have published contributed to this month’s earnings. That works out to be 3.85% of my total books sold this month!
The #1 best-selling has continued its reign yet again! It’s a book in the children’s niche and has been my top-selling book since I published it in April 2020. It brought in 50.2% which is half of my KDP income this month. Keep up the good work!
#2 best-selling book has also remained in its place. It’s a book in a specific childrenโs niche, and it brought in 9.2% of my KDP income this month. It has been a top seller ever since I published it in January 2021. I’ve said previously Iโll be building a brand around it. I’m in the midst of building a website.
The #3 best-seller is a notebook in a certain niche. It brought in 8.3% of the earnings this month. Thanks to the bulk order on November 28 โ the highest earning day. Someone has bought this notebook in bulk to give away as gifts. It was published in September 2020 and does sell occasionally every other month.
Any surprises this month?
There were 2 bulk orders for 2 of my books. The 1st bulk order is for a notebook in a certain niche as mentioned above. This is a simple notebook with a simple design, yet elegant.
The 2nd bulk order is for a notebook in another niche. This particular notebook does sell a copy or two every month. It is targeted at a certain career.
What I Made in November 2022 โ With No Ads (In Comparison)
My KDP income this November is not as good as last year’s. It is down by 37.3%. Last November’s sales were more consistent, with many consistently high days.
From what I gather thus far, the higher printing costs since June 20 2023 and the economic outlook are what affects my KDP income. However, I am grateful with what I get from this passive income source.
